Position Summary

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced academics for appointment to the rank of Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. Successful candidates will contribute to high-quality teaching, impactful research, academic leadership, and community service in line with the standards of a public university.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in relevant subject areas
• Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations
• Conduct and publish impactful research in peer-reviewed journals
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic program improvement
• Participate in faculty development, mentorship, and academic leadership activities
• Engage in community service and industry collaboration initiatives
• Support departmental and university-wide academic administration

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a Ph.D. in a relevant field of specialization
• Have been appointed as a Senior Lecturer in a recognized university with comparable standards to Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU)
• Demonstrate at least four (4) years of experience as a Lecturer
• Show evidence of at least six (6) peer-reviewed publications in recognized journals
• OR be appointed as a Lecturer and undergo the University’s promotion process upon appointment
• Provide names and addresses of three (3) referees
