Role Overview

A high-profile organization operating under confidentiality seeks a seasoned Senior Manager, Business Development to provide strategic leadership in driving investment-led growth and partnership development. Reporting at a senior level, the role is central to shaping the organization’s business development agenda, mobilizing capital, and structuring complex financing solutions that deliver long-term economic and developmental impact.

The successful candidate will operate as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and, where required, engage with board-level stakeholders, investors, and public-sector partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the organization’s business development and investment facilitation agenda.

• Cultivate a professional and high-trust engagement environment with senior stakeholders, including investors, development partners, government entities, and private sector leaders.

• Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of complex transactions, including blended finance instruments and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements.

• Drive capital mobilization efforts with institutional investors, DFIs, and strategic partners.

• Oversee due diligence, financial modeling, risk assessment, and negotiation processes for priority transactions.

• Prepare and present high-quality investment memoranda, strategic papers, and performance reports for executive management and board review.

• Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to inform organizational positioning and long-term growth planning.

• Ensure alignment with governance frameworks, risk management policies, and internal approval processes.

• Mentor senior and mid-level professionals, fostering a high-performance and accountable team culture

  Qualifications & Executive Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Investment, Development Studies, or a related discipline.

  • At least fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in investment facilitation, capital mobilization, blended finance, and/or PPP structuring.

  • Demonstrated experience engaging at executive and board levels, with a strong record of closing complex, high-value transactions.

  • Deep understanding of investment ecosystems, financial structuring, and public–private collaboration.

  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic communication skills.

  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in confidential and high-stakes environments.

  • Candidate must be based in Accra.
