Role Overview

RINA is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support a leading oil company at its headquarters in Accra. The successful candidate will join the client’s engineering team and contribute to the delivery of multiple projects across both greenfield and brownfield developments.

This is a resident role with a one-year contract and a strong possibility of extension. You will report directly to the client’s Engineering Manager and play a key role in ensuring process engineering excellence across existing and future assets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide process engineering support across upstream oil and gas operations, including both onshore and offshore assets.
  • Contribute to Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering activities.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Support both greenfield and brownfield project execution.
  • Participate in bid preparation activities, including drafting technical specifications and evaluating proposals.
  • Liaise effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Utilize process simulation tools to analyze system performance and optimize operations.
  • Apply flow assurance principles to support safe and efficient hydrocarbon production and transport.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in upstream oil and gas process engineering, both onshore and offshore.
  • Strong experience in FEED and engineering reviews for greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Experience supporting bid phases, including technical specification development and vendor coordination.
  • Proficiency in process simulation tools.
  • Working knowledge of flow assurance principles is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.

Contract & Benefits

  • Full-time, 1-year resident contract with the possibility of extension.
  • Standard working schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
  • One month of annual leave.
