Role Overview

FLSmidth is seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician – Sales Enablement to support technical service delivery while contributing to commercial success. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with customer engagement, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting sales through high-quality service and technical insight.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support, maintenance, and repair services on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose faults, particularly in instrumentation systems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Support sales teams by providing technical expertise and contributing to customer solutions.
  • Conduct equipment inspections, servicing, and performance assessments.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for service activities.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through professional service delivery and technical support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and recommend upgrades or solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Grade 12, N3, or a qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Qualified Artisan or Graduate Engineer in Mechanical/Electrical disciplines.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant field experience.
  • Additional tertiary or instrumentation qualification is an advantage.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven experience in instrumentation fault-finding and repair is highly desirable.
