Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Site Quantity Surveyor / Cost Clerk to support cost management and quantity surveying activities on construction projects. The successful candidate will help ensure effective cost control, maintain accurate project records, and contribute to the efficient delivery of projects while working closely with site and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate cost records and project documentation.
• Measure quantities and assist in preparing bills of quantities and cost estimates.
• Monitor project costs and track expenditures against approved budgets.
• Process, verify, and maintain records of site materials, invoices, and payment certificates.
• Assist in preparing project valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
• Support procurement activities by evaluating quotations and maintaining purchasing records.
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure accurate cost reporting.
• Maintain confidential project and financial information with the highest level of discretion.
• Ensure all documentation is complete, organized, and readily accessible.
• Support the project team in achieving cost efficiency and timely project delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience in quantity surveying, cost control, or construction cost management.
• Strong understanding of construction costing principles and quantity surveying practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with quantity surveying or construction management software is an advantage.
• Must be willing to relocate to Sunyani or already be a resident of the area.
