Position Summary
Mankoadze Teabag Technical Institute is seeking a qualified and passionate Special Education Teacher (Hearing Impairment / Deaf Students) to support learners with hearing impairments. The successful candidate will actively design and deliver inclusive instruction, support student development, and collaborate with staff to ensure equal access to technical and vocational education.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored instruction to students with hearing impairments using appropriate teaching strategies
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students’ learning needs
Use sign language and other communication methods to support effective learning
Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to ensure accessibility and inclusion
Monitor, assess, and document student progress and learning outcomes
Collaborate with instructors, administrators, and support staff to promote inclusive education
Provide academic, behavioral, and emotional support to students
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in line with institutional requirements
Promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (Hearing Impairment Unit) from a recognized institution
Demonstrated knowledge of teaching strategies for deaf and hard-of-hearing learners
Proficiency in Ghanaian Sign Language or equivalent
Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
Passion for inclusive education and student-centered learning
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary educational environment
