Job Summary

The Specialist, Talent Acquisition will manage and coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities to ensure the timely attraction, assessment, and hiring of high-quality talent. The role holder will deliver data-driven recruitment operations, ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, strengthen employer branding initiatives, and support workforce planning efforts in alignment with business strategy.


Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Recruitment Coordination

  • Coordinate recruitment processes from requisition approval through offer stage and on boarding handover.

  • Ensure seamless hiring experiences that minimize delays and enhance candidate satisfaction.

  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify job requirements and timelines.

2. Job Posting and Sourcing Strategies

  • Coordinate job postings across appropriate platforms.

  • Implement effective sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high-caliber talent.

  • Leverage modern sourcing tools and talent databases to strengthen candidate pipelines.

3. Screening, Interviews, and Assessments

  • Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments.

  • Perform reference and background checks.

  • Apply structured evaluation methods to ensure objective, high-quality selection decisions.

4. Recruitment Data Management

  • Maintain accurate recruitment data across ATS, HRIS, and reporting trackers.

  • Ensure data integrity for decision-making, audits, and compliance requirements.

5. Recruitment Reporting and Monitoring

  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports including:

    • Time-to-hire

    • Cost-to-hire

    • Vacancy aging

    • Source effectiveness

    • Diversity metrics

  • Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and escalate potential delays or risks to the Manager, HR Operations.

  • Provide insights to optimize recruitment strategies and improve operational efficiency.

6. Compliance Management

  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with company policies, labour legislation, and regulatory requirements.

  • Safeguard process integrity and minimize legal risks.

7. Workforce Planning Support & Talent Pool Management

  • Provide hiring trends, pipeline analytics, and capacity insights to support workforce planning.

  • Proactively build and maintain talent pools for mission-critical and high-impact roles.

  • Reduce time-to-fill through proactive talent mapping and succession support.

8. Pre-Employment Checks and Documentation

  • Coordinate per-employment checks and required documentation professionally and efficiently.

  • Facilitate a smooth transition from offer acceptance to on boarding.

9. On boarding Support

  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to ensure effective on boarding handover.

  • Promote early engagement and integration of new hires.

10. Employer Branding

  • Support and coordinate employer branding initiatives.

  • Strengthen MTN Ghana’s positioning as an employer of choice.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.


Professional Certifications & Training

  • Recruitment certifications (e.g., LinkedIn Talent Solutions, SHRM, CIPD) will be an advantage.

  • Training in recruitment best practices, labour legislation, and HR systems.

  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and modern sourcing tools.


Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in talent acquisition or recruitment operations.

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes in medium to large organizations.

  • Proven expertise in recruitment reporting and data management.
