Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize the Institute’s IT infrastructure and enterprise systems. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of servers, applications, and network systems within a dynamic academic environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and operating systems for both servers and end-user systems
- Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the Institute’s ERP system and other application servers
- Manage user access, system performance, and resolve outages or technical issues promptly
- Apply system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and stability
- Maintain and manage backups of all application systems and ensure data protection within the data centre
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting guides
- Support IT infrastructure projects and system improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure continuous service availability and system efficiency
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems and Microsoft Server 2016 and above is an added advantage
- Professional certifications in server administration, IT service management, or related areas will be an advantage
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in systems administration or a similar role
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize technical issues effectively
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong team collaboration and technical reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping up with evolving IT systems
