Role Overview

The Technical Sales Manager drives cybersecurity solution sales by combining deep technical expertise with strong commercial acumen. The role positions you as a trusted advisor to clients, leading pre-sales engagements, designing tailored solutions, and supporting revenue growth through strategic client partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales Leadership

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise and SME clients.
  • Lead pre-sales cybersecurity strategy and articulate value propositions.
  • Drive and manage cybersecurity advisory engagements end-to-end.

Solution Design & Client Engagement

  • Design and present tailored cybersecurity solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Support Managed SOC (Security Operations Center) service delivery models.
  • Lead initiatives in incident response and threat detection solutions.
  • Conduct Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) assessments.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and service models.

Pre-Sales & Technical Execution

  • Oversee and deliver Proof-of-Concept (PoC) and Proof-of-Value (PoV) engagements.
  • Ensure RFP/RFT responses align with technical capabilities and delivery standards.

Collaboration with SOC & Delivery Teams

  • Work closely with SOC analysts, engineers, and R&D teams to develop solutions.
  • Align technical proposals with client business objectives.
  • Ensure seamless transition from sales to delivery teams.

Revenue Growth & Pipeline Management

  • Drive revenue growth across Managed Security Services (MSS) and IT advisory offerings.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across cybersecurity and IT domains.
  • Achieve sales targets, revenue, and profitability goals.
  • Contribute to market intelligence and advisory insights.

Market Positioning & Thought Leadership

  • Represent the organization at industry events, webinars, and forums.
  • Contribute to regulatory research and industry positioning.
  • Develop thought leadership content such as whitepapers, podcasts, and insights.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in cybersecurity, or at least 12+ years in technical sales or IT advisory roles.
  • Strong hands-on or advisory experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms such as LogRhythm and threat detection systems.
  • Proven success in selling Managed Security Services or cybersecurity solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Proof-of-Concept engagements and working with enterprise clients.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) or similar.
  • Vendor certifications in SIEM platforms (e.g., LogRhythm or equivalent).
  • Additional certifications in GRC, cloud security, or penetration testing are advantageous.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Growth in MSS and IT advisory revenue.
  • Pipeline development, value, and conversion rates.
  • Successful delivery of PoC/PoV engagements and technical wins.
  • Customer acquisition and retention rates.
  • Contribution to market positioning and brand credibility.
