We are seeking a safety-conscious, reliable, and experienced Towing Car Driver to join our team at our Dzorwulu Branch. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, and customer vehicles across our branch network and client locations throughout Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Vehicle Handling

• Safely operate heavy-duty tow trucks and low-bed trailers to transport earth-moving equipment, heavy-duty trucks, and light-duty vehicles.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to Zonda Tec branches and customer destinations across Ghana.
• Load and unload vehicles and machinery using approved ramps, winching systems, and safe handling techniques.
• Secure all transported equipment and vehicles using appropriate chains, straps, and tie-down systems in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Assist with the movement and parking of vehicles within the Tema Assembly Yard and branch compounds.
• Support the workshop team by transporting vehicles requiring repairs from branch locations to the main workshop in Tema.

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checks on tyres, brakes, lights, fluid levels, towing equipment, and overall vehicle condition.
• Maintain the towing vehicle in a clean, roadworthy, and mechanically sound condition.
• Report mechanical defects, accidents, breakdowns, traffic incidents, or safety concerns promptly to the Fleet Manager.
• Support scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance activities to maximize vehicle availability.

Documentation & Customer Service

• Verify all delivery documentation, including waybills, delivery notes, and insurance documents, before departure.
• Obtain accurate delivery confirmations and signatures from clients or branch representatives.
• Report delivery discrepancies, damages, delays, or operational issues to Management immediately.
• Represent Zonda Tec Ghana Ltd professionally while interacting with customers, business partners, and other road users.

Compliance & Safety

• Comply with all Ghana Road Traffic Regulations, speed limits, and load restrictions.
• Follow Company safety procedures and best practices when transporting vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all loads are transported securely and safely at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must possess:

• A valid Ghanaian Driver’s Licence Class E or higher (mandatory).
• A Senior High School (SHS) Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ proven experience operating heavy-duty trucks, low-bed trailers, or vehicle carrier tow trucks.
• Demonstrated experience transporting construction equipment, heavy machinery, or commercial vehicles will be highly advantageous.
• Good knowledge of road networks across the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, and Northern Regions.

Key Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Proficiency in operating winches, hydraulic lifting systems, chains, straps, and vehicle securing equipment.
• Excellent maneuvering, reversing, and spatial awareness skills when handling large vehicles.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report minor vehicle faults.
• Good verbal communication skills in English and at least one Ghanaian local language.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
• Commitment to safety and delivering excellent customer service.
