We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Transport Manager to lead and oversee fleet and transport operations while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across all operational activities.

Position Summary

The Transport Manager will be responsible for managing fleet operations, coordinating transport activities, supervising drivers, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing transport performance, controlling operational costs, and supporting seamless logistics and mobility operations across project sites and operational locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of the company’s fleet operations.
• Coordinate transport schedules and operational activities to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Supervise, manage, and support drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
• Monitor vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, and fleet performance to minimize downtime.
• Manage fuel consumption, transport budgets, and operational costs to improve efficiency and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, workplace safety standards, and company operational procedures.
• Monitor and enforce driver safety practices and vehicle inspection routines.
• Prepare operational reports, fleet performance analyses, and transport-related documentation.
• Utilize fleet management systems and vehicle tracking tools to monitor fleet operations and improve performance.
• Coordinate effectively with internal departments, project teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing transport operations and service quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transport Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years’ relevant experience in fleet management, transport operations, or logistics management.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in fleet management systems and vehicle tracking technologies.
• Strong understanding of transport operations and fleet maintenance practices.
• Good knowledge of the Ghanaian transport operational environment and regulatory framework.
