As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Transport Manager to lead and optimize our transportation and fleet operations. The successful candidate will oversee transport activities, ensure operational efficiency, maintain compliance with safety regulations, and support the timely delivery of products across our distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all vehicle scheduling, dispatch, and transportation activities.
  • Monitor vehicle movements and implement effective route planning strategies to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate transport records, fleet documentation, operational logs, and compliance reports.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to ensure optimal fleet performance and availability.
  • Supervise drivers and transport personnel, monitor performance, and provide coaching where necessary.
  • Track fuel consumption, transportation costs, and operational expenses to support cost-control initiatives.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and logistics requirements to ensure timely and efficient product distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with company transport policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Investigate transport-related issues and implement corrective actions to improve service delivery.
  • Prepare and present transport performance reports, operational analyses, and management updates.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet productivity and operational efficiency.

Educational Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in transport, logistics, fleet management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management systems, transportation operations, and logistics coordination.
  • Proven experience in managing drivers, fleet assets, and transportation schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize routes, manage costs, and improve operational performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
