Position Summary

The Waiter / Waitress will provide excellent food and beverage service to guests by taking orders, serving meals and drinks, responding to customer needs, and ensuring every guest enjoys a pleasant dining experience. The successful candidate will represent Azmera Restaurant by delivering professional, courteous, and efficient service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

As a Waiter / Waitress, you will:

• Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, friendly, and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Present menus, explain available dishes, and provide accurate information about food and beverage options.
• Take customer orders accurately and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests, questions, or concerns.
• Handle customer feedback professionally and escalate issues to supervisors when necessary.
• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and ready for customers before and after service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and assigned workspaces.
• Process customer bills and payments accurately while following approved procedures.
• Support the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health, and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain professional appearance, positive attitude, and excellent customer service standards at all times.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute ideas that improve service quality and guest experiences.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of Senior High School (SHS) certificate or equivalent qualification.
• A certificate or diploma in Hospitality, Catering, Food and Beverage Service, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience as a Waiter, Waitress, Server, or in a customer service role within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures will be an advantage.
