Position Summary

Newmont Ghana is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Warehouse Technician III to support warehouse and inventory operations at the Ahafo site in Kenyasi. The role is essential in creating a safe, efficient, and well-organized warehouse environment that supports mining operations through accurate material handling, equipment operation, and inventory control.

The Warehouse Technician III will operate heavy warehouse equipment, manage materials flow, and ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach stackers, and telehandlers in a safe and efficient manner.

• Receive, inspect, store, issue, and dispatch materials in line with warehouse procedures.

• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/EAP systems and related warehouse management tools.

• Support maintenance planning activities through timely and accurate materials availability.

• Execute Procure-to-Pay (P2P) transactional processes in accordance with company policies.

• Conduct routine stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.

• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss.

• Adhere strictly to safety, health, and environmental standards at all times.

• Maintain housekeeping standards within the warehouse and surrounding areas.

• Collaborate with supply chain, maintenance, and operations teams to support site requirements.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within warehouse operations.

Required Qualifications

Formal Qualification (Including Professional Registrations)

• Senior High School Certificate.

Additional Knowledge

• Knowledge of maintenance planning processes.

• Supply chain functional knowledge.

• Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) transactional processes.

• ERP / EAP system knowledge.

• Mining business acumen.

• Warehouse management knowledge.

Experience

• 2 to 4 years of work experience in warehousing.

• 2 to 3 years of experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach stackers, forklifts, and telehandlers.

• Must possess a valid Ghanaian Driver’s License – Class E.
