We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our team and support factory construction, equipment installation, and maintenance operations.
Position Summary
The Welder will perform welding, fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities to support construction projects, equipment installation, and factory operations. The successful candidate will ensure all welding work meets quality standards while adhering to company safety policies and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and assembly of metal structures and components according to project specifications.
- Support factory construction activities, including steel works, equipment installation, and structural modifications.
- Operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions where required.
- Inspect welded structures and components to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Carry out repair and maintenance welding on factory equipment and structures.
- Assist supervisors, engineers, and project teams in completing assigned tasks within project timelines.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Identify and report safety hazards, equipment defects, and operational risks.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Relevant work experience in welding, fabrication, construction, manufacturing, or a related technical trade.
- Demonstrated ability to operate welding equipment and fabrication tools effectively.
- Practical knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication processes, and equipment maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety standards and safe welding practices.
Educational Requirements
- Minimum of a Senior High School Certificate, Technical/Vocational Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
- Formal training in Welding, Fabrication, Metal Works, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline will be an advantage.
- Any other relevant technical certification
