Senior Project Officer – Ghanaian Nationals Only (Full-Time)
Location: Tamale, Ghana (On-site)
Division: Global Health
Reports To: Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP), Ghana IHP

Position Summary
CRS is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Project Officer to support the implementation and monitoring of agricultural and community development projects in the Northern Region. The successful candidate will work closely with local partners, field teams, and communities to ensure project objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.
This role requires strong analytical skills, community engagement experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Implement project activities in line with program goals and timelines.
Support local partners and community stakeholders in participatory action planning and project implementation.
Monitor project performance, collect relevant data, and prepare progress reports.
Foster strong relationships with partners, community members, and field teams.
Provide technical guidance and support to field staff and local partners.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality in executing assigned responsibilities.
Assist in project documentation, reporting, and compliance with CRS standards.
Travel up to 50% to project sites for supervision, monitoring, and community engagement activities.
Educational Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (Economics, Extension, Agribusiness), Business Administration, Development Finance, or Entrepreneurship.
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience in project management, ideally in agricultural financing, cocoa or shea sector, SILC/VSLAs, agribusiness development, or within an NGO.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills.
Ability to work independently and proactively with a results-oriented mindset.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with participatory action planning, community engagement, and local partner coordination.
Prior experience in staff supervision is an advantage.
Experience in project monitoring and data collection.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
