To support its growing operations, the company is seeking proactive and detail-oriented Traditional Trade Client (Sales) Assistants to support sales activities in open markets and retail outlets nationwide. The successful candidates will help drive product visibility, support promotional activities, and strengthen relationships with retailers.


Job Summary

The Traditional Trade Client (Sales) Assistant ensures that company products are properly displayed, stocked, and promoted within open markets and traditional retail outlets. The role focuses on maintaining attractive product displays, monitoring stock levels, supporting promotional activities, and ensuring compliance with company merchandising standards to maximize sales and brand visibility.


Key Responsibilities

Product Display & Merchandising

  • Arrange and maintain product displays in line with company merchandising guidelines.

  • Ensure shelves, racks, gondolas, and promotional displays remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.

  • Implement approved planograms and promotional displays at retail outlets and open markets.

Stock Monitoring

  • Monitor product stock levels at customer stores and retail outlets.

  • Report out-of-stock items and coordinate replenishment with the Sales Representative or Regional Sales Manager.

  • Check product expiry dates and rotate stock using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.

Sales Support

  • Support the sales team to ensure product availability and strong brand visibility in the market.

  • Assist with the execution of promotions, product launches, and marketing campaigns at market outlets.

Store Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with store owners, managers, and retail staff.

  • Ensure compliance with store policies while implementing company merchandising standards.

Market Feedback & Reporting

  • Provide feedback on competitor activities, product pricing, and promotional strategies.

  • Submit regular reports on store visits, stock levels, and merchandising performance.

  • Capture photos of displays and report issues or opportunities to supervisors.

Compliance

  • Ensure all product displays meet company brand standards.

  • Follow company policies as well as health and safety guidelines during field activities.


Requirements

Education

  • SHS certificate or higher qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, retail operations, or FMCG sales support.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • High attention to detail and organization

  • Basic reporting and data recording skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple retail outlets

  • Physical ability to move and arrange products when required

Other Requirements

  • Basic understanding of retail merchandising practices.
