Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic French Teacher to inspire students and cultivate a strong appreciation for the French language and Francophone cultures. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support student development, and contribute to a vibrant learning community.

Key Responsibilities

Language Instruction

• Teach French language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, across various proficiency levels
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum

Curriculum Development & Assessment

• Design, prepare, and update instructional materials tailored to student needs
• Create and administer assessments, quizzes, and examinations to evaluate student progress
• Provide regular, constructive feedback and maintain accurate performance records

Classroom Management

• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Encourage student participation, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation
• Address student questions and learning challenges effectively

Cultural Exposure & Enrichment

• Introduce students to Francophone cultures, literature, and traditions
• Organize cultural activities, language clubs, and excursions to enhance practical language use

Professional Development & Collaboration

• Participate actively in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programs
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and improve learning outcomes

Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate attendance and grading records
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress
• Ensure compliance with school policies and educational standards

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Fluency in French (native or near-native proficiency)
• Teaching certification or a degree in French, Education, or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and planning abilities
• Demonstrated passion for teaching and fostering a love for the French language
