Education, Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Affiliate membership in a recognized professional HR body is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong conflict resolution and disciplinary management skills.
  • Knowledge of labour laws, employee safety, and health regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for the assigned manufacturing unit.
  • Manage daily HR operations, including attendance, leave, overtime, and shift-related issues.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs (attendance, overtime, deductions) with Head Office HR/Finance.

Workforce Management & Manpower Control

  • Support unit manpower planning in line with production requirements.
  • Monitor headcount, absenteeism, attrition, and labour deployment.
  • Liaise with outsourced labour agencies on attendance, replacements, and disciplinary matters.

Attendance, Time & Overtime Control

  • Enforce adherence to work hours, biometric clocking, and overtime policies.
  • Review daily biometric attendance reports and flag exceptions.
  • Ensure all overtime is pre-approved and properly documented.

Employee Relations & Discipline

  • Address grievances, complaints, and employee concerns at the unit level.
  • Support supervisors in managing discipline in accordance with company policies.

Compliance & Labour Governance

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Support labour inspections, audits, and regulatory visits.
  • Maintain audit readiness for internal and external assessments.

Training & Development

  • Coordinate onboarding and induction for new hires.
  • Support implementation of operator, safety, leadership, and compliance training programs.

Performance Management Support

  • Assist supervisors and managers in implementing performance management processes.
  • Track performance issues, improvement plans, and confirmations.

Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Implement employee engagement initiatives at the unit level, including recognition programs, town halls, and toolbox talks.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between management and employees.

Health, Safety & Conduct

  • Partner with HSE and Production teams to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Support incident investigations from people, conduct, and disciplinary perspectives.
  • Reinforce compliance with PPE usage, SOPs, and workplace conduct standards.
