Job Summary

The Auto Metal Mechanic plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. The successful candidate will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and support preventive maintenance activities while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks as required.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all repairs and maintenance activities.
• Follow and enforce all workplace safety standards and procedures.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Hold a relevant certificate or have completed an apprenticeship in Auto Mechanics or a related field.
• Demonstrate prior experience as an auto mechanic, preferably working with heavy-duty vehicles.
• Exhibit strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills.
• Show the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
