Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Officer to support the effective implementation of HR compliance, policies, and governance frameworks. In this role, you will ensure adherence to labour laws, strengthen HR controls, support audits, and promote a strong culture of accountability, fairness, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

HR Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance of HR practices with labour laws, statutory regulations, and internal policies
  • Conduct regular HR compliance audits and track corrective actions to closure
  • Collaborate with Business Partners to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain compliance tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Identify, assess, and escalate HR and contractual risks in a timely manner

Policies, Ethics & Human Rights

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Human Rights Policy
  • Promote a speak-up culture and ensure effective grievance handling processes
  • Oversee background checks, reference verification, and due diligence procedures
  • Conduct site visits to strengthen compliance awareness and identify early issues

Performance & Reporting

  • Prepare HR compliance dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking documents
  • Support compliance in performance management processes, including appraisals and documentation
  • Assist in internal and external audits and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data integrity across HR systems

Training & Advisory Support

  • Provide guidance and training on HR compliance, policies, and best practices
  • Support managers and employees in understanding HR procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Promote awareness of HR standards and continuous improvement practices across teams
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of HR and organizational objectives

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience, preferably within mining or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR policies, and statutory compliance frameworks
  • Experience in grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and workplace investigations
  • Proven ability to manage HR compliance risks effectively
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience preparing HR reports, dashboards, and compliance documentation
