The role also requires strong leadership capability to supervise and guide a team of accounting professionals in achieving departmental objectives and maintaining high standards of financial accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations and financial transactions
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic business decisions
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor budgets, expenditures, and cash flow activities
- Conduct reconciliations and ensure accuracy of ledger accounts
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Collaborate with management to support the company’s global expansion initiatives
- Supervise and support accounting team members to achieve departmental goals
- Improve financial processes and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or CIMA is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Leadership ability with experience managing or supervising teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
