Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Assistant Catering professional to support catering operations and training activities. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, supervision of catering services, and maintenance of high standards of hygiene, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support catering operations, including food preparation and service delivery
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
• Assist in supervising catering staff and trainees during practical sessions
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of food items
• Support training activities within catering and hospitality programmes
• Monitor quality standards in food production and service
• Assist in inventory control and proper use of catering materials
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Carry out assigned duties efficiently and within required timelines
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff and trainees where necessary

Educational Qualification & Experience

• HND or University Diploma in Hotel/Catering/Hospitality Management or Home Economics
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in catering or hospitality operations
• Strong practical experience in food service and catering supervision is an advantage

Requirements

• Valid Ghana Card (mandatory)
• National Service Certificate, where applicable
• Medical fitness certificate from a Government Medical Officer
• At least two (2) verifiable references
• Strong sense of discipline, professionalism, and responsibility
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a training and service environment
