Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Salad Chef to join our cold kitchen team. In this role, you will prepare fresh salads, dressings, wraps, and light meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, presentation, and efficiency. You will also contribute to menu innovation and support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Execution

  • Prepare fresh vegetable, fruit, pasta, and protein-based salads daily.
  • Mix and prepare signature homemade dressings, sauces, and marinades.
  • Prepare cold appetizers, wraps, and sandwich fillings.
  • Wash, peel, cut, and portion ingredients while maintaining freshness and quality standards.

Menu Innovation & Presentation

  • Develop new salad recipes and contribute creative healthy menu ideas.
  • Present dishes in an attractive, modern, and consistent manner.
  • Support the planning and execution of cold buffet items and creative platters.

Kitchen Hygiene & Safety

  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Keep the cold kitchen station clean, organized, and fully sanitized.
  • Monitor food storage temperatures and ingredient shelf life.
  • Manage ingredients proactively to reduce food waste.

Inventory Support

  • Assist in ordering fresh produce and premium ingredients.
  • Track daily usage of vegetables, fruits, and salad supplies.
  • Ensure all required ingredients remain stocked for smooth daily operations.

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Reside in Accra, with proximity to Adenta considered a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrate prior experience as a Salad Chef, Cold Kitchen Chef, or Prep Cook (preferred).
  • Show strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Possess culinary arts training or certification (added advantage).
