Accounts Officer

Location: Kasoa
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team in Kasoa. The successful candidate will support the finance function by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance standards, and contributing to effective financial management across the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Generate monthly management accounts and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain proper financial documentation and reporting records.

Compliance and Audit Support

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations, including GST and withholding tax requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and statutory reviews.
  • Support the preparation and submission of tax filings and regulatory reports.

General Ledger Management

  • Maintain accurate accounting records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily financial transactions.
  • Update and manage general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Budgeting and Financial Analysis

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze financial data, costs, and revenue trends to support business decision-making.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that contribute to financial efficiency and strategic planning.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Zoho Books.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
