Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Branch Manager to lead and oversee all branch operations in the Eastern Region. In this role, you will drive business growth, ensure operational excellence, and maintain full compliance with regulatory and internal banking standards. You will lead a high-performing team, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver sustainable profitability for the branch.


Key Responsibilities

You will take full responsibility for the performance, compliance, and growth of the branch, including:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Provide strong leadership, supervision, and direction to branch staff to achieve operational, financial, and service excellence targets.
  • Business Growth: Drive deposit mobilization and expand the branch’s customer base through effective business development strategies.
  • Credit Management: Oversee all credit processes including loan appraisal, approval support, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Bank of Ghana regulations, ARB Apex Bank policies, AML/CFT guidelines, and internal control frameworks.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports on branch operations, financial performance, and key business indicators.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Promote excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.
  • Business Strategy Execution: Develop and implement actionable strategies to grow branch profitability and improve operational efficiency.
  • Talent Development: Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing team while driving continuous performance improvement.
  • Asset Protection: Safeguard all branch assets and ensure efficient, secure, and compliant operational processes.

Qualification & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Professional qualification such as CIB or an MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a financial institution, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong experience in rural banking operations, credit administration, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record in deposit mobilization, business development, and team leadership.
  • High integrity, strong communication skills, and excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software such as T24.
