Role Purpose
The Maintenance Manager will lead and coordinate all maintenance activities for heavy-duty equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance, safety, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance systems, manage technical teams, and ensure minimal equipment downtime in support of business operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all maintenance activities for heavy-duty equipment and machinery.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational standards.
- Diagnose mechanical and technical faults and oversee timely repairs and servicing.
- Manage maintenance teams, workshop operations, and external contractors to ensure quality service delivery.
- Monitor and control maintenance budgets, inventory levels, and spare parts usage.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and performance documentation.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and maintenance standards.
- Recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, and operational improvements to enhance productivity.
- Coordinate closely with operations teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment availability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within maintenance systems and processes.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and management.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery, maintenance systems, and workshop operations.
- Experience in mining, construction, or industrial environments will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict operational deadlines.
- Strong understanding of maintenance compliance standards, safety regulations, and operational best practices.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong decision-making ability with a focus on operational efficiency and reliability.
