Role Overview
The Driver will support transportation and logistics activities by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of personnel, machinery, equipment, and materials. The successful candidate will maintain high safety standards, provide excellent customer service, and support operational activities in a fast-paced working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport personnel, equipment, machinery, and materials to designated locations.
- Load and offload items as required to support operational activities.
- Prepare and submit reports on accidents, vehicle breakdowns, and repairs to the Transport Supervisor and Transport Officer.
- Provide timely feedback to the Transport Supervisor and Transport Officer after completing assigned tasks.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and operational safety.
- Adhere to all road traffic regulations, company safety procedures, and transport policies.
- Travel regularly to support operational and transportation needs.
- Work overtime when required based on operational and travel demands.
- Operate machinery and vehicles for more than 50% of normal working hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper care of assigned vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
Formal Qualification
- Minimum Senior High School Certificate.
- Valid Ghanaian Driver’s License (Category C).
Experience
- Between three (3) to five (5) years’ driving experience in a multinational organization.
Additional Knowledge
- Good knowledge of road traffic signs and regulations.
- Good knowledge of Ghana’s geographical map.
