Role Summary
The Biodiversity Finance Manager will support the design, implementation, and management of biodiversity finance initiatives aimed at strengthening environmental sustainability and resource mobilisation. The successful candidate will work with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams to analyse environmental finance systems, develop policy and financial reports, and support biodiversity-related expenditure reviews and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
Biodiversity Finance & Environmental Analysis
- Support the development and implementation of biodiversity finance strategies and frameworks
- Analyse environmental and biodiversity-related financial data to support decision-making
- Contribute to environmental expenditure reviews and financial assessments
- Identify financing opportunities to support biodiversity conservation and sustainable development
Reporting, Research & Policy Support
- Draft high-quality reports on environmental finance policies and programmes
- Prepare publications, presentations, and analytical briefs for stakeholders
- Support the development of policy recommendations on biodiversity finance
- Contribute to documentation of programme outcomes and lessons learned
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Collaborate with international and national experts, government institutions, and development partners
- Support engagement with public sector stakeholders and relevant government agencies
- Participate in multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams
- Contribute to coordination of biodiversity finance initiatives across partners
Systems, Tools & Knowledge Management
- Apply MS Office and relevant software tools for data analysis and reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation and knowledge resources
- Support preparation of presentations and communication materials for stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a closely related field with an environmental or biodiversity focus
OR - First-level university degree (Bachelor’s) in the above fields with an additional two (2) years of relevant professional experience
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years (Master’s degree) or 4 years (Bachelor’s degree) of experience in environmental finance, accounting, economics, management, or related fields
- Proven experience working with international and national experts and institutions
- Demonstrated experience in drafting reports on environmental or policy-related topics
- Experience preparing analytical publications, reports, and presentations
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
Desired Skills
- Exposure to environmental or biodiversity-related finance is highly desirable
- Previous experience with public expenditure reviews is an advantage
- Familiarity with government systems and processes is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and policy research background
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of one or more local languages is an added advantage
