We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Officer to support the effective management and maintenance of our fleet operations.

Position Summary

The Fleet Officer will support the coordination, monitoring, and maintenance of company vehicles and heavy machinery to ensure operational efficiency and safety. The successful candidate will assist in scheduling maintenance activities, monitoring vehicle performance, and maintaining accurate fleet records while ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist in coordinating routine maintenance and repair schedules for company vehicles and heavy machinery.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and ensure timely servicing to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, maintenance schedules, fuel usage, and repairs.
  • Support the inspection and reporting of vehicle conditions and operational issues.
  • Coordinate with drivers, technicians, and service providers to ensure efficient fleet operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, transportation regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare periodic fleet management and maintenance reports.
  • Assist in monitoring spare parts inventory and maintenance requirements.
  • Support the implementation of efficient fleet management practices to improve operational performance.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must possess:

  • A Degree, HND, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Transport and Logistics, or a related field.
  • Completion of academic studies between 2023 and 2025.
  • Knowledge of or practical exposure to heavy machinery and vehicle maintenance operations.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple maintenance activities simultaneously.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
