Position Summary
The Human Resource Officer will play a key role in supporting the organization’s people management objectives by overseeing recruitment activities, employee relations, performance management, training coordination, HR administration, and compliance initiatives.
The successful candidate will contribute to creating a positive employee experience while ensuring that HR practices align with organizational goals, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions.
- Coordinate employee onboarding activities to ensure a seamless integration experience for new employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases while ensuring the highest level of confidentiality and data protection.
- Support performance management initiatives and employee development programs across the organization.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns professionally while promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and review of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Conduct employee engagement surveys and recommend initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and workplace culture.
- Organize and coordinate employee training programs, workshops, and development activities.
- Support payroll administration and employee benefits processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare HR reports, employee statistics, and workforce analytics to support management decision-making.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to support workforce planning and talent management initiatives.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management in support of business objectives.
Qualification Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Possess a professional certification in Human Resource Management, which will be considered an added advantage.
- Have a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience in Human Resource Administration or a similar HR role.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of Ghanaian labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
Knowledge & Technical Competencies
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Practical experience using Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and employee data management platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of payroll administration processes and employee benefits management.
- Understanding of recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, and training coordination practices.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
