We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Local Sourcing Manager to join our team in Tema. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive cost optimization across key procurement categories.

Position Summary

The Local Sourcing Manager will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for local procurement categories. The role focuses on delivering cost efficiencies, ensuring supplier performance, managing risk, and strengthening long-term supplier relationships to support business continuity and competitive advantage.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective sourcing decisions that align with Nestlé’s global procurement standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

• Develop and implement effective local sourcing strategies across multiple spend categories.
• Identify opportunities to deliver cost savings and improve value creation for the business.
• Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing processes, including supplier selection and contract negotiation.
• Ensure sourcing decisions align with global procurement policies and business priorities.

Supplier Management & Performance

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and implement improvement plans where necessary.
• Manage supplier risk and ensure continuity of supply across categories.

Negotiation & Contract Management

• Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Develop and manage procurement contracts in line with company standards.
• Ensure all sourcing agreements deliver value, compliance, and sustainability.
• Support resolution of commercial disputes with suppliers when required.

Cost Optimization & Business Impact

• Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier collaboration.
• Identify efficiency opportunities across procurement categories.
• Support budgeting and cost management initiatives across the supply chain.
• Deliver measurable financial and operational improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and sourcing requirements.
• Act as a key liaison between procurement, operations, finance, and supply chain teams.
• Provide sourcing insights to support strategic business decisions.
• Ensure alignment between sourcing strategies and business objectives.

Procurement Tools & Process Improvement

• Utilize procurement tools and systems to support sourcing activities.
• Support the use of e-auctions and digital procurement platforms where applicable.
• Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and procurement efficiency.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives within procurement.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and develop sourcing team members to achieve performance objectives.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and technical support to strengthen procurement capability.
• Foster a high-performance, results-driven procurement culture.
• Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

What Will Make You Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5)+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Proven experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver business value.
• Strong expertise in managing multiple spend categories and strategic procurement processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and delivering results.
• Strong negotiation, contracting, and project management skills.
• Solid experience in supplier relationship management and risk mitigation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Experience with e-auctions and procurement digital tools is an advantage.
• Strong cost optimization mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
