Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Technician to support the maintenance and repair of hotel facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will ensure all systems operate efficiently, respond to maintenance needs promptly, and contribute to a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across hotel facilities, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and basic mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Inspect equipment and facilities regularly to identify faults and prevent breakdowns.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functionality of hotel systems.
• Support installation and setup of equipment and fixtures as required.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and hotel maintenance procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Assist specialized technicians and contractors when necessary.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized.
• Contribute to maintaining a comfortable and fully functional guest environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong technical knowledge in basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Understanding of health, safety, and facility maintenance standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
