Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Security Manager to lead and oversee all security operations at our hotel in Accra. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, managing risk, safeguarding hotel assets, and ensuring a safe environment for guests, employees, and visitors. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage security personnel, respond to emerging threats, and drive continuous improvement in security practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive security policies, procedures, and operational plans.
- Lead and supervise security personnel to ensure effective coverage and adherence to security standards.
- Monitor and evaluate security operations to identify risks and implement preventive measures.
- Conduct regular security assessments, inspections, and audits to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Investigate security incidents, accidents, and breaches, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective action.
- Coordinate emergency response activities and ensure preparedness for security-related incidents and crises.
- Manage access control systems, surveillance equipment, and other security technologies to enhance property protection.
- Collaborate with management and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and emergency services, when required.
- Deliver security awareness training and guidance to employees to promote a strong culture of safety and vigilance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry security standards.
- Maintain accurate security records, incident logs, and operational reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve security processes, systems, and overall risk management practices.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Requirements
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Engineering, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in security management, risk management, facilities security, or a related role.
- Experience within the hospitality, corporate, facilities management, or related sectors will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing security operations in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of security operations, risk assessment, incident management, and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High learning agility and the ability to adapt to evolving security challenges and operational requirements.
- Demonstrated innovation, initiative, and collaborative problem-solving abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and security reporting systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity at all times.
