Position Summary

The Associate Professor will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, innovation, and industry engagement within the Faculty. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to curriculum development, postgraduate supervision, high-impact research, and the advancement of knowledge in their field of specialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced teaching, academic leadership, and curriculum development in relevant disciplines.
• Lead and contribute to innovative research and scholarly publications.
• Supervise Master’s and PhD students in their research work.
• Participate in the development and review of academic programs.
• Publish research outputs in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
• Engage in consultancy, industry collaboration, and technology transfer activities.
• Contribute to faculty and institutional governance and academic committees.
• Mentor junior academic staff and support capacity building within the department.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be appointed as an Associate Professor in the relevant discipline in a public tertiary institution or a duly accredited private tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere.
• Possess a PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
• Demonstrate outstanding performance in teaching, research, and industry-related innovation.
• Show evidence of significant contribution to the intellectual and professional reputation of their discipline.
• Demonstrate capacity for continuous research and dissemination of knowledge through technology transfer and publications.
• Have a minimum of eight (8) relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals after promotion to Senior Lecturer.

Note: Evidence of industry experience and membership of a recognized professional body will be an added advantage.
