Position Summary

The Associate Professor will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, innovation, and industry engagement within the Faculty. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing scholarly excellence, supervising postgraduate research, and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced teaching and academic leadership in relevant disciplines.
• Lead and contribute to high-impact research and scholarly publications.
• Supervise Master’s and PhD research students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic program review.
• Publish research outputs in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Engage in consultancy, industry collaboration, and technology transfer initiatives.
• Participate in faculty governance, committees, and institutional development activities.
• Mentor junior academic staff and support capacity building within the faculty.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be appointed as an Associate Professor in the relevant discipline in a public tertiary institution or a duly accredited private tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere.
• Possess a PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
• Demonstrate outstanding performance in teaching, research, and industry-related innovation.
• Show evidence of significant contribution to the intellectual and professional reputation of their discipline.
• Demonstrate capacity for continuous research and dissemination of knowledge through technology transfer and publications.
• Have a minimum of eight (8) relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals after promotion to Senior Lecturer.

Note: Evidence of industry experience and membership of a recognized professional body will be an added advantage.
