Position Summary

The Assistant Accountant will support the financial management operations of the University by ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budget tracking, and compliance with accounting standards and institutional policies. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and maintenance of financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Process financial transactions accurately and ensure proper documentation.
• Reconcile accounts and support audit preparation activities.
• Assist in managing payroll, payments, and related financial operations.
• Maintain and operate accounting software systems for financial data management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and institutional policies.
• Provide administrative support within the finance department as required.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a Chartered Accountant.
• Must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of accounting software applications.
