We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to join our team in Accra. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s IT infrastructure by providing technical support, maintaining systems, and enhancing the efficiency of our technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Technician, you will:

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Provide first-line and second-line technical support to employees across the organization.
  • Respond to IT service requests and support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Install, update, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and security software.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems, servers, and network equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
  • Perform routine system checks, preventive maintenance, and data backup procedures.
  • Support the implementation of IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and improve IT services.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, system configurations, and support activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role will be an advantage.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Certifications, or equivalent qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
