Role Overview
As a Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting meals to a high standard while ensuring food safety, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency. You will play an important role in delivering excellent culinary experiences and maintaining a well-organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure food is prepared, presented, and served in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Monitor food inventory and assist with stock control and ingredient management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Properly store food items and monitor freshness to minimize waste.
- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes and meal offerings.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- A passion for cooking and delivering high-quality meals.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
