We are seeking an experienced and accomplished legal professional to join our team as a Senior State Attorney. Key Responsibilities
As a Senior State Attorney, you will:
- Represent the Republic of Ghana in complex civil and criminal proceedings before the courts.
- Provide strategic legal advice and well-reasoned legal opinions to Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and other public institutions.
- Lead legal research and prepare complex pleadings, legal opinions, contracts, legislation, regulations, and other legal documents.
- Manage and prosecute high-profile and complex litigation on behalf of the State.
- Support negotiations, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior legal officers where required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records relating to assigned legal matters.
- Perform other duties assigned in furtherance of the mandate of the Office.
Qualification Required & Experience
Applicants must:
- Have been called to the Ghana Bar.
- Possess the requisite post-call experience applicable to the grade being applied for.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of Ghanaian law, legal research, advocacy, and legal drafting.
- Possess excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate high ethical standards, integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

- Pupillage Certificate (where applicable).
- Proof of date of birth.
- Copy of a valid national identification card.
