Position Summary
The Sales & Marketing Manager will develop and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives that increase occupancy, grow revenue, strengthen brand awareness, and expand the resort’s customer base. The successful candidate will build strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, lead marketing campaigns, and collaborate with operational teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies that achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the corporate, leisure, government, travel trade, and events markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and key stakeholders.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management.
- Negotiate contracts, corporate rates, and partnership agreements to maximise business opportunities.
Marketing and Brand Management
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and market share.
- Manage digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, website content, and online advertising.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and special events.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communication channels.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform marketing strategies.
Revenue Generation
- Collaborate with operational departments to maximise room occupancy, conference bookings, restaurant sales, and event revenue.
- Develop promotional packages that attract new customers and encourage repeat business.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive communication and excellent service.
- Address client concerns promptly and maintain strong after-sales relationships.
- Represent the resort at industry events, exhibitions, networking forums, and trade shows.
Market Research and Reporting
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and business opportunities.
- Analyse sales and marketing performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare regular reports with recommendations to improve commercial performance.
- Monitor return on investment for marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as required.
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Establish clear performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Foster collaboration, creativity, and accountability within the team.
- Promote continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sales, or a related field.
- Professional qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Hospitality Management is an advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in sales and marketing, with at least three (3) years in a managerial role.
- Experience in the hospitality, hotel, or tourism industry is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, customer relationship management (CRM), and sales strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
