Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based science lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and academic achievement.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.
• Teach science concepts using a variety of instructional strategies, practical investigations, and technology-enhanced learning experiences.
• Assess student learning regularly and use assessment data to guide instruction and support individual student growth.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
• Promote scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and analytical thinking through hands-on experiments and project-based learning.
• Maintain effective classroom management that supports positive student behavior and a productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance student success and well-being.
• Participate actively in curriculum development, professional learning, school events, and extracurricular activities.
• Uphold the school’s mission, Christian values, and commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, or a related subject area.
• Valid teaching certification or professional teaching licence.
• Experience teaching within an American, International, or International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching middle school or secondary science is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of middle school science content and effective instructional practices.
