Position Summary
The Pre-School Teacher will create a safe, engaging, and child-centred classroom environment that promotes learning through play, exploration, and positive relationships. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality early years education, foster children’s social and emotional development, and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support every child’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development.
- Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to learn.
- Foster children’s curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence through interactive and play-based learning activities.
- Observe, assess, and monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate developmental records.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to parents and guardians on children’s learning and development.
- Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive learning community.
- Effectively manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement and age-appropriate strategies.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children by following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development programmes, and other school activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning within the Early Years Department.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in an early childhood or pre-school setting.
- A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young learners.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with a creative and child-focused approach to teaching.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive, caring, and engaging learning environment.
