Position Summary
The Creative Art Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that foster students’ artistic skills, creativity, and appreciation for the visual arts. The successful candidate will create a stimulating classroom environment where students are encouraged to explore different artistic techniques, develop their talents, and express their ideas with confidence.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging art lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
- Teach a variety of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts, and mixed media.
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression through hands-on learning experiences.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom resources that support diverse learning needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
- Organize and display students’ artwork to celebrate creativity and achievement.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring classroom and art studio environment.
- Manage art materials, equipment, and supplies responsibly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school events.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress and development.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes, and extracurricular activities as required.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding, child protection, and professional standards at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Arts, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related subject area.
- A professional teaching qualification is an added advantage.
- Previous teaching experience in a basic or secondary school setting is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of artistic techniques, creative processes, and art education methodologies.
- Excellent classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- Passion for inspiring creativity and supporting students’ artistic development.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational technology tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
