We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Foreman to oversee day-to-day construction site operations. The successful candidate will supervise site personnel, coordinate subcontractors, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and support the timely delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules.
• Allocate tasks and monitor the performance of site workers, subcontractors, and trades to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and company quality standards.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, and materials to maximise productivity and minimise delays.

Construction Operations

• Monitor project progress and report any issues that may affect timelines, quality, or costs.
• Work closely with the Site Engineer, Project Manager, and other technical teams to resolve site challenges promptly.
• Verify that construction activities are carried out using approved methods and in accordance with engineering requirements.
• Assist with planning daily and weekly work schedules to ensure efficient site operations.

Health, Safety & Quality

• Promote and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure all workers use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe working practices.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure all completed work meets the required quality standards.

Resource & Team Management

• Supervise, motivate, and support construction teams to maintain high levels of productivity and performance.
• Monitor labour attendance and maintain accurate daily site records.
• Coordinate the delivery, storage, and use of construction materials and equipment.
• Report shortages of materials, tools, or equipment to the appropriate personnel.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site diaries, work progress reports, and labour records.
• Report construction progress, challenges, and resource requirements to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Assist with inspections, quality checks, and project handover activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation of completed works and site activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Masters, equivalent qualification in Building Technology, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
• Minimum of five (3) years of practical experience supervising construction works, including experience as a Foreman or Senior Supervisor.
• Proven experience managing residential, commercial, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, site operations, and quality standards.
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary construction teams.

Location Requirement

Applicants must currently reside in Sunyani or be willing to relocate to Sunyani if selected for the role.
