Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Welcome customers warmly and provide a professional, courteous, and efficient service experience.
- Process customer orders and payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve payment-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Promote a positive customer experience by maintaining a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure efficient order processing.
Cash Handling & Payment Processing
- Receive and process cash, card, mobile money, and other approved payment methods accurately.
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Reconcile daily sales and report discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure strict compliance with company cash handling procedures and financial controls.
Operational Support
- Maintain an organised, clean, and professional cashier station.
- Assist with processing takeaway and delivery orders where required.
- Support opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and reporting.
- Maintain sufficient supplies of receipts, stationery, and other cashier materials.
- Escalate operational issues to supervisors when necessary.
Compliance & Record Management
- Maintain accurate transaction records and daily financial reports.
- Follow company policies, operational procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.
- Support stock and inventory verification processes when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Senior High School Certificate, Diploma, HND, or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Cashier, Front Desk Officer, Customer Service Representative, or in a similar role.
- Experience working in a restaurant, café, retail, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
- Basic numerical and computer skills.
