Position Summary

As the Driver, you will provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for staff, students, guests, and visitors. You will ensure company vehicles remain well maintained, comply with road safety requirements, and support university activities, events, and official engagements.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Safely transport staff, students, guests, and visitors for official University business.
• Coordinate airport pick-ups and drop-offs for staff, students, and university guests.
• Plan efficient travel routes while considering traffic conditions and complying with all road traffic regulations.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults, damages, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain company vehicles in clean, safe, and roadworthy condition at all times.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, trip records, fuel records, and servicing schedules.
• Monitor vehicle insurance, roadworthy certificates, and licence renewals to ensure timely compliance.
• Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage when required.
• Provide professional and courteous service to all passengers and visitors.
• Support the setup and logistics arrangements for meetings, university events, and official activities.
• Participate in University programmes, including school visits, career fairs, exhibitions, open days, graduations, and other institutional events.
• Follow all University safety procedures and maintain a high standard of professionalism while representing the institution.
• Perform other duties assigned by management in support of University operations.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• A valid Category C or above driver’s licence.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ professional driving experience with the relevant licence category.
• Minimum qualification of SSSCE/WASSCE/GCE O’ Level with passes in all subjects.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Good knowledge of Accra and surrounding road networks.
• Experience driving for an organisation, institution, or corporate environment will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
