Position Summary

Marie Stopes International Ghana is seeking an experienced and compassionate Centre Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for one of its clinical centres. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare services, drive operational performance, and ensure an exceptional client experience while maintaining compliance with clinical and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate clinical and support staff to deliver safe, high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare services.
  • Develop staff schedules, manage rotations and transfers, and maintain optimal staffing levels to support efficient service delivery.
  • Manage staff performance through coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Development Team (MDT) to strengthen staff competencies through technical training and continuous learning.
  • Monitor monthly operational performance and implement work plans to achieve service delivery targets.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure the timely availability of medical supplies, equipment, and other essential resources while minimising shortages and wastage.
  • Monitor clinical incidents, ensure timely reporting through appropriate channels, and implement corrective actions to improve patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and operational records and ensure compliance with organisational policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Address client concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and quality service.
  • Support community outreach and engagement initiatives to increase awareness and utilisation of sexual and reproductive health services.
  • Perform any other duties that contribute to the effective operation of the centre.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance will be measured against:

  • Achievement of monthly service delivery targets, including Couple Years of Protection (CYP), consultations, and clinical procedures.
  • Client satisfaction and service quality indicators.
  • Compliance with clinical protocols, quality assurance standards, and audit requirements.
  • Staff performance, engagement, retention, and professional development outcomes.
  • Efficient utilisation of resources and effective inventory management with minimal wastage.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess:

  • Qualification as a Senior Midwife with recognised expertise in sexual and reproductive healthcare.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ post-graduation experience, including significant leadership responsibility within clinical services.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering sexual and reproductive health services.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to support income-generating healthcare services.
  • Sound knowledge of Ghana’s healthcare delivery system and relevant health policies.
  • Experience working with an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO) will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in health information systems, data analysis, and reporting tools.
