Job Summary
As a KG1 & KG2 Class Teacher, you will create a welcoming, engaging, and inclusive classroom where young learners feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn. You will deliver age-appropriate lessons using play-based and interactive teaching methods while supporting each child’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach KG1 and KG2 learners using play-based learning, songs, storytelling, games, and interactive activities.
- Deliver lessons in line with the NaCCA Kindergarten Curriculum, including Literacy, Numeracy, Creative Arts, and Our World, Our People (OWOP).
- Foster positive behaviour, good habits, confidence, and strong social skills among learners.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning resources that support active participation.
- Assess learners’ progress, mark classwork, maintain accurate pupil records, and prepare progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding learners’ development and achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all learners at all times.
Educational Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Education or Basic Education.
- Relevant experience working with young children will be an added advantage.
- The necessary qualifications required to teach at the Kindergarten level.
Skills and Competencies
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Creativity in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
