We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and innovative Basic 3 Class Teacher to join our teaching team in Accra. The successful candidate will provide effective classroom instruction, support pupil development, and create an engaging learning environment that promotes academic achievement and positive values.

Position Summary

As a Basic 3 Class Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess pupil progress, manage classroom activities, and support the overall academic and personal development of learners. You will apply learner-centered teaching approaches aligned with the NaCCA curriculum while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Basic 3 Class Teacher, you will:

• Teach Basic 3 subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Science, Our World Our People (OWOP), Ghanaian Language, and other assigned subjects.
• Develop and deliver effective lesson plans aligned with the NaCCA curriculum and school academic standards.
• Apply learner-centered teaching methods that encourage participation, creativity, and independent thinking.
• Prepare teaching materials and use appropriate teaching aids to support effective learning.
• Assess pupils’ understanding through class exercises, assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Mark pupils’ work, maintain accurate academic records, and prepare progress reports.
• Manage classroom activities effectively while maintaining discipline and a positive learning environment.
• Promote good morals, honesty, respect, responsibility, and civic values among pupils.
• Identify pupils’ learning needs and provide appropriate support to improve academic performance.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and support school programmes.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, training sessions, and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must possess:

• A Diploma or Degree in Basic Education or a related education discipline.
• Previous teaching experience at the upper primary level will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and understanding of the NaCCA curriculum and primary education standards.
• Experience developing lesson plans, assessments, and learner support strategies.
